Welcome to Cheshire Photo Lab, the photo lab for specialist Black and White film processing, black and white printing, colour film processing, colour printing, negative and slide scanning, and digital image resizing. Among our specialties our hand printing images of steam locomotives, and producing prints from very old negatives and prints, digitally enhancing the scans from old negatives and prints to produce restored images.

Film Processing

We process 110, 126, 127, 35mm, 120, 220, 620 black and white films, E6 slide film, and C41 colour negative film by hand to ensure excellent quality results. We are experienced in processing the modern black and white films that are processed in colour chemistry, and do not charge extra for up rating. We process Infra Red films, and also cross process E6 films in C41 chemistry if required.

Photo Printing

We produce Black and White hand prints in our traditional darkroom from 35mm and 120 black and white negatives on real silver gelatine based black and white paper.

New Services

We have now added 110 film processing to our list of processing services due to popular demand.

We can now produce real silver gelatine black and white prints from 35mm and 120 black and white or colour negatives/slides, and digital image files, via a 'digital negative'.

We also produce colour or black and white hand finished digital lab prints. Each negative or digital file is individually assessed.

Digital Services

110, 126, 127, 35mm and medium format (up to 6cm x 12cm) negative and slide scanning to CD at a resolution far exceeding most labs services, at a reasonable price, using professional quality Nikon and Epson scanners. We undertake post scanning image enhancement work on scans from old negatives and prints to produce the best possible digital files.
