Scanning Service

We scan 110, 126, 127, 35mm and medium format (up to 6cm x 12cm) slides and negatives using professional quality Nikon and Epson scanners. We offer scanning file sizes of economy, standard, high, and super size.

Economy scans are sized to print high quality 6x4 prints at 300 DPI. These are ideal for making a digital copy of family photo archives where there may be a large number of slides or negatives to scan.

Standard scans are sized to produce an A4 print at 300 DPI.

High res scans are sized to print to A3 at 300 DPI.

Super size scans are for A3+ prints.

We can scan all images on a roll of film at the time of processing and save onto CD, at Standard resolution. This is offered at a special price and works out cheaper per scan than many so called 'cheap' scanning labs.

We can also scan individual slides/negatives to Economy, Standard, High, or Super resolution, and return to you saved on CD.

We specialise in scanning old negatives and prints and undertake the necessary post scanning production work to produce enhanced quality digital files. The cost of this service is included in the price of our High and Super res scanning prices.

All standard, high, and super resolution scanned image files are opened and checked in Photoshop, and any obvious blemishes removed where possible to ensure you receive print ready images every time. On our economy scanning service we use automatic dust and scratch removal programs which work well for colour negatives and slides in reasonable condition.

NB - 110 size negatives are only really suitable for 6x4 or at max 7x5 scans/prints.

NB - images can be supplied saved as Jpeg files (max quality), or Tiff files. Please state required file type on order. Files will be saved to CD or DVD depending on completed order file size.
